DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. The name is a clue as to what it contains/ what it is made of (which you will find in the next tab). It is the material that holds the information about how living organisms will look and function (i.e. eye color, hair color, genetic disorders, etc.). It is located in the nucleus and does not leave the nucleus.
